:: fruit repeats

I'm working on an art project with a class of seven year olds over the next few weeks collaborating for an art exhibition next year. Today was observational drawings of fruit.
It was a brilliant class and really fun session and I was excited to see just how good at drawing and mark making most of them were.
We turned some of their drawing into basic repeats which we will work into again next week with colour.

:: paper people

I am always inspired by the labour intensive art of paper cutting Emma van Leest's work is so intricate and beautiful. Its worth clicking on the image and looking at it close up, the detail is amazing it must have taken her months to complete. My clumsy efforts look pretty chunky in comparison to her masterpiece!
